This 5-Days Murchison Falls and Queen Elizabeth Wildlife Safari covers a wide range of savanna grasslands in two of Uganda’s most popular national parks. This wildlife safari offers remarkable game-viewing opportunities where you can encounter animals like Cape Buffalos, Giraffes, herds of Elephants, Lions, Hippos, and antelopes, plus a visit to Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary for Rhino tracking activity.

Day 1: Transfer to Murchison Falls National Park

  • Meet with your professional Soul Treat Safaris guide in Kampala
  • Transfer to Murchison Falls National Park
  • En-route stop at Ziwa for Rhino Trekking (time permitting)
  • Several stops for refreshments and scenic views
  • Check into accommodation upon arrival

Driving time: 5-6 hours
Accommodation: Pakuba Safari Lodge

Day 2: Murchison Falls Game Drive and Boat Safari

Morning:

  • Early breakfast
  • Game drive across Uganda’s largest protected area
  • Wildlife viewing opportunities:
    • Lions
    • Giraffes
    • Hartebeest
    • Buffalo
    • Elephants
    • Secretary birds
    • Black-chested snake eagles

Afternoon:

  • Boat trip to the base of Murchison Falls
  • View hippos, crocodiles, and water birds
  • Optional hike to the top of the falls (weather permitting)
  • Evening relaxation at accommodation

Day 3: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park

  • Journey to Queen Elizabeth National Park
  • Views of the Mountains of the Moon
  • Pass through Kasese town
  • Check-in at lodge
  • Optional evening game drive (time and energy permitting)

Driving time: 5-8 hours

Day 4: Queen Elizabeth Game Drive and Kazinga Channel

Morning:

  • Game drive through Kasenyi Plains

Afternoon:

  • Launch trip on Kazinga Channel

Day 5: Chimpanzee Trekking and Return to Kampala

  • Early breakfast
  • Drive to Kalinzu forest
  • Trek to see common Chimpanzees in their natural habitat
  • Return journey to Kampala/Entebbe
  • Stopover at equator
  • Lunch in Mbarara
